Black Capital Management has been independently managing client portfolios from Grain Valley, Missouri since 1987.
President & Founder
Terry Black, CFA, founded Black Capital Management, LLC in 1987. Terry has been analyzing equity securities since 1979 and received his MBA in Finance from Avila University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute as well as the CFA Society of Kansas City. Terry specializes in the management of both balanced and equity portfolios.
Portfolio Manager
Taylor Black, CFA, joined Black Capital Management, LLC full time in 2013 after receiving his MBA in Finance from Avila University. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute as well as the CFA Society of Kansas City. Taylor works with clients across both balanced and equity portfolios as a portfolio manager and securities analyst.
Operations & Research Assistant
Keaton Black received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western Governors University in 2018 and passed the Series 65 exam in 2024. Keaton supports the firm’s investment research and day-to-day operations.
